Privacy policy

Who we are. This website is operated by Northern Expert ehf, Tangabryggja 18, 110 Reykjavík, Iceland ("we"). For any privacy matter, contact hello@svalbardway.com.

What we collect. When you submit the trip planner or contact form, we process the data you enter (name, email, travel preferences, message) solely to answer your request and prepare an offer. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for marketing.

Legal basis. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering a contract) and, for analytics, Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in understanding site usage) or your consent where required.

Analytics. We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which pages help visitors. IP addresses are not stored in identifiable form.

Retention. Inquiry data is kept for the duration of our correspondence and statutory retention periods, then deleted.

Your rights. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you may object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Iceland: Persónuvernd).

Hosting. This site is served via a global content delivery network; server logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) are processed for security and reliability.
