Terms & conditions

1. Contracting party. Travel services presented on this website are offered by Northern Expert ehf, Tangabryggja 18, 110 Reykjavík, Iceland.

2. Offers and booking. Prices shown as "from" prices are per person based on double occupancy and subject to availability. A booking becomes binding when you accept a written offer and we confirm it.

3. Payment. Payment terms (deposit and balance schedule) are stated in each written offer.

4. Changes and cancellation. Cancellation conditions depend on the trip and season and are stated in each written offer before you commit. Arctic weather can force itinerary changes at short notice; where an activity cannot run safely, we provide an equivalent alternative or refund that component.

5. Your responsibilities. You are responsible for valid travel documents, adequate travel insurance (including medical evacuation cover, which we strongly recommend for Svalbard) and following guide instructions at all times.

6. Liability. Statutory liability rules of Icelandic law apply. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Applicable law. Icelandic law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
